First, Goshen College in Indiana banned the words to the National Anthem. Now they've decided to ban the whole thing.
It's 'too violent'.
This was the song they played before sporting events, by the way. Sporting events, like football (a ground-acquisition game wherein two teams beat each other up to score touchdowns); basketball (where two teams elbow, bump, and occasionally 'accidentally' foul each other in order to score baskets); soccer (see 'football', above); volleyball (where two teams 'spike' a ball at members of the opposing team over a tall net in order to score points) and other various and sundry sports wherein players can either injure themselves and/or others via 'accidents'.
Makes perfect sense to me.
If anyone needs me, I'll be blasting the Star Spangled Banner and pounding my head against the wall in frustration at stupid people.
