My guys is…
This guy:

Okay, now that the gasps of shock have subsided, let me clue you in on why I’m picking him.
Sure, the guy’s an old-school philanderer, waist deep (or deeper) in questionable dealings; he’s all that and this and the other thing, too. Yadda, yadda, yadda…
But here’s the thing: the GOP elites and their hired guns – the so-called ‘conservative’ talkingheads on Fox News and in all the ‘conservative’ papers on-line - are having a collective shit-hemorrhage over the guy. They’re digging through Chapter 17 of the Democrat Party Character-assassination For Political Gain playbook and they’re all starting to resemble Mrs. Peacock in the movie Clue: you know, incoherent screaming, hands flapping like broken wings, the whole hysteria thing.
If the GOP elites were anywhere in the vicinity of conservative, I might listen to them; with 2008’s GOP elite choice – John McLame – and the current force-feeding of McLame’s evil brother-from-another-mother, Willard Obamitt McRomney, they’re telling us exactly what they think of the conservative Republican (in that specific order) electors: ‘You’re too stupid to know what you really want – take Mitt Romney and STFU.’
And they’re wetting their pants thinking the electors are going to give them a big old mano fica and pick Newt, the non-Romney candidate.
The larger the damp spot in their collective crotch, the more I’m willing to vote for the guy who’s causing it.

Indiscretions, misteps, whatever, at least Newt has been in the fray and has been a fighter. He is not a Chris Dodd, or a Barney Frank, or worse a Nancy Pelosi. I believe that he will as called upon by circumstances rise to the occassion and be the kind of President our country needs. Mitt, who has been running for the top job for years and still can't crack into prime time, just doesn't have what it takes to the The Man. Can't deny he is smart but it takes more than that, and it is more than that that we need at this point in history.
