PCUSA Redefines Marriage

This article could easily be sub-headed, ‘Presbyterian Church – USA spits in God’s eye again’:
The Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.)'s highest governing body voted Thursday to allow ministers to perform same-sex marriages.

*snip*

The PCUSA's 221st General Assembly, which is meeting in Detroit this week, also approved an amendment to its Book of Order that would change the definition of marriage from one man and one woman to "two persons."
Three years ago, the PC-USA’s General Assembly approved the ordination of homosexual clergy, so I guess they’re figuring, ‘In for a penny…’

But all is not lost.  First:
The amendment must be ratified by a majority of the denomination's presbyteries, or district governing bodies.
So there’s a possibility this amendment will end up in the trash bin.

Second:
"The Presbyterian Lay Committee mourns these actions and calls on all Presbyterians to resist and protest them ... God will not be mocked and those who substitute their own felt desires for God's unchangeable Truth will not be found guiltless before a holy God."
It’s good to see that there are at least a few Presbyterians who haven’t decided to put their God to the test.

We need to pray for all Scripturally-adherent, Bible-believing, God-fearing members of every Mainline Protestant denomination in America as they fight the forces of ‘the world’.
